What next?

Just thinking out loud for those who wish to jump in We are a big supporter of Grass Roots and Non-Hierarchical Management.



Fundraising:
Some people might not realize this, but yes, we are a real thing, www.marrnation.com, and are committed to do as we say, halting violations of mice and rats rights.

Those who joined the DA group, good news, you are getting a sneak peek before most others

Our current missions are to get our non profit status, and to rescue 150+ rats, 4 of which we posted adoption pics of.

So, our next fundraiser is a Mice and Rat Beauty Contest.
Enter a photo of your mouse or rat at ten dollars an entry. Then send in a video, prose, or their background on why you believe you have the most beautiful rat. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if you want to show your critter's inner beauty you have to let it come out!
There are no limitations to how many entries you may have.
Wildlife Photography that YOU took is also allowed, so you do not necessarily have to have a rat or mouse companion.
Mice and Rats only. Genus Rattus Rattus, Rattus Norvegious, or Mus musculus.
Judges decide the winner, but judges may be influenced by voters. A vote may be purchased for a penny each, there are unlimited votes.

If you specifically do not wish MARR to use any of your entries you must write, "not for use", in you description, otherwise we will assume you give us permission to use it.

Prizes: There ARE Prizes!
We talked to a few animal rights companies, and a couple of them have responded.
We won't reveal quite yet who has donated and what has been donated~
If YOU want to help donate a prize to encourage entries, you are more than welcomed too! The more incentive, the better the turnout!


Hammocks 'n Things
Our little side fundraiser is to create hammocks and things out of reclaimed materials. Old t-shirts, fabric scraps, old jeans. Anything is game a long as it isn't leather or silk.
Guess who got their sewing machine working?
MARR always needs hammocks, shelf coverings, and beds for their rats, as well as being able to sell extra of these items for fundraising in an eco friendly manner.
ANYONE can sew two square patches together, anyone is welcomed to join in on the fun!
If you refuse to sew but have lots of useable fabrics, you can send it to us! Note me, k?
If you sewed some sweet rat/mouse accessories don't forget to submit them in the gallery!



Spiffying up our DA page
Looks like we need quite a bit of spiffying.
First, we need a better icon, one that isn't cut off. I was thinking of a sprite type icon of our logo, or something close to our logo.
If we can ever get a paid subscription, we'd like to do a couple of plz accounts (that's how that works, right?)
Next, we'd like a .gif  type id. Something like a simple slide show showing what we are and what we do.
Also, using those plz accounts creatively for our page would be nice. For example, highlighting our Adoptions section.
I, personally, don't have the time/knowledge for that, but if others want to step in, please be my guest!

Submissions:
If it's pro rat and mouse, educating, and awareness spreading it's allowed in our galleries.
If it is a mouse or rat eating something, like as I saw, raw meat, cheese, eggs or whatever, we will NOT allow it in our galleries.
The reasoning behind this is not only is this endorsing animal abuse (for animals other than rats and mice) but such items are not conducive to their health, as is proven by countless experiments, studies, and the taxonomy itself of the rat and mouse.
Simply put, if we would not allow a picture a rat and mouse in a similar position in our gallery, we will not allow it for other animals.

We plan on making info graphs about rats to illustrate just how off the mark people are about them, as well as making a few better quality illustrations/products to be sold on Zazzle.
